iXtreme 1.6 is the new DVD Drive firmware that allows your Xbox 360 to play backups - Including the new backups with 3 video partitions.
It will also allow you to rip games using your Xbox 360 DVD drive connected to your computer.

With iXtreme firmware you play both original and backup games with no hardware modification.

This Tutorial will show you in detail how to install iXtreme firmware on your Xbox 360 DVD drive.

    Requirements

    - A desktop computer with a free PCI slot on the motherboard.
    - A USB Flash Drive.
    - A VIA 6421A PCI card.

First thing you need to do is check which DVD drive your Xbox 360 has.
There is 4 different types of Xbox 360 DVD Drives - But don't worry they can all be modified.

Remove the Xbox 360 faceplate and look into hole #3 on the diagram shown below.

A white wire means that the DVD drive inside your Xbox 360 is BenQ.
A red wire means that the DVD drive inside your Xbox 360 is Samsung.
Plastic covering the hole means that the DVD drive inside your Xbox 360 is Hitachi.
A yellow wire means that the DVD drive inside your Xbox 360 is LiteOn.

Ok now you will have to open your xbox 360.
